There are always disassemblers too... but in my assembler class, we used LC2, which isn't anything like x86 or anything... so you can't really write a higher up language then make the computer assemble it into LC2... cause... there's no LC2 C++ or anything =)

did you know that on most unix machines if you use the -s tag to compile a C program the compiler will write the assembly language for the source file in a file with the .s suffix. Seems to me this would make assembly class alot easier ..........

Hehe, good job Sean... but "regular" code is soooo much easier to write than assembly...

ugh... I'm going to hate compiler class...

3682 lines of java code later and I have a working baroque chess program with wussy but still working ai. http://bishopcmb.resnet.tamu.edu/baroque1.jpg
(Baroque chess is like chess but all the pieces make differnt moves than normal and capture in different ways. It was assigned instead of normal chess, well because there are 50 million normal chess games out there that could all easily be ripped off.) Our gui was about middle of the pack Id say. It made us look quite bad after my friend Jacob demoed his project done in opengl that had 3d animations and all sorts of cool things like being able to play over the network. Of course his requires having a decent graphics card to run it and mine doesnt so I still claim ours was better. Got a 105 on it though, and thats all that matters.

Ummm... no, I tried the cron job thing long before Ochs suggested it to me, but the permissions are being troublesome since the user changes between the cronjob and the webserver, so it became too big of a hassle.

I disabled the update thing because it was making the page hang occassionally, locking up the news-file... so now it only updates when I manually build it again or when I submit a new post.

It says I'm going C R A Z Y !!! =)

Not sure what it says. The comments don't show up because Oliver disabled the update thingie b/c it was taking up too much processing power. I tried to get him to make a cron job to update once every hour... but we all know Oliver: lazy bum! =) hehe!

But...what does it say? And why does the comments thingy not show that there are any when quite clearly there are?
