Comic Site Sunday, August 5, 2001
Wellllll, the poll seems to be pretty one sided... and I think, if all of the regular visitors left that haven't voted voted for the same thing not coconutcomics.com, it still wouldn't make a difference =) I'm going to register the domain and sign up for ADDR (web hosting service... the one Olivers using =)) sometime this week I believe. Butttt! First, I'm curious on who's interested in doing comics on this site. I'm going to try not to force anyone into doing it by assuming... so I'm going to let you post yes/no here. Of course, if in my head, I hope you do, if you don't post here or say no, I'm going to bug you incessantly for it...

19 - Minix Thursday, August 9, 2001 N/A (24.27.51.185 ) Definetly all that want there own will have there own... havent given much thought to a collaboration one, itd be really hard to do, but might be fun... |
18 - Wes Thursday, August 9, 2001 N/A (205.188.192.28 ) I don't care where it is, I just wanna do a comic site!!! So...are we going to be able to do our own little strips, or will we all be collaborating on one? Or both, maybe? |
17 - Oliver Wednesday, August 8, 2001 [email protected] (IP Hidden ) Ah, just looked at powweb and they do $15/year... so... ah.. whatever =) |
16 - Oliver Wednesday, August 8, 2001 [email protected] (IP Hidden ) I'd personally go for the speed rather than the space/bandwidth right now, since we wouldn't be using nearly that much for now anyways. Also, with powweb, we'd be stuck for a year... if we did want to move and get more speed, we couldn't. We can always switch servers later... powweb is cheaper, but ah... not much. I'd go with addr... or at least a place that is faster than powweb. We can just give everyone forwarding addresses as well, I'm sure not everyone would want a POP3 account... And... usually places that register the domain name for you charge $35/year. You can get it for $15/year at www.15dollardomainnames.com |
15 - Minix Wednesday, August 8, 2001 N/A (24.27.51.185 ) and, I'm actually thinking of doing powweb... not sure though, but then i can do it all through them =) much more efficient... but... agh =) i dunno... advise me! =) powweb is cheaper... more bandwidth... everyone could have their own email there... but addr seems faster... agh =) |
14 - Minix Wednesday, August 8, 2001 N/A (24.27.51.185 ) lala no... heres why =) to register, i need a credit card... i am credit card less... i plan on throwing some money into my netspend account, but since i cant drive, havent gotten to yet |
