Here is my large linux update... mainly for myself if I ever want to know what I did. Of course, if anyone gets anything useful out of it for themselves, then that'd be cool too. =) All this is mainly for RH8.0ish.

Nice scripts (colorful ls, etc.): /usr/profile.d

Knoppix Thursday, March 13 2003
So I stumbled upon Knoppix again (I think Van tried them out a little a while back). And while I was chatting with Mark, he discovered this neat little tib-bit of info from Knoppix.net:

Knoppix 3.2 has now KDE 3.1 and "persistant home" - a way to save the configuration also on hd and USB-Memory-Sticks.

So, I had this idea... you get one of these, and one of these, and you've got a really really awesome mobile custom OS in your pocket(s). Oh man, I'm not sure how, when or if I'll actually use it but the prospect of actually doing it is so cool I'm so very tempted........

Aye, I need to update!... well it seems as if Mark and I are going to have pass/fail linguistics cause his quiz and test were uber-hard. I would throw a certain simile in there courtesy of Viraj, Mr.Baghat, but I like to keep OliverWEB "PG." =)

I am looking forward to a nice spring break... full of team games of C&C:Generals with Van. Oh yeah, and before I forget, happy birthday to Chad (Saturday) and Minix (Sunday). I hope I got those days right. =) I gotta make sure I go get new contacts and attempt to fix up the Town Car.
